These terms govern your use of the Vanvaas website. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. “Vanvaas”, “we” and “us” mean the people who run Vanvaas, a private forest sanctuary in Kodagu (Coorg), Karnataka, India.

Nothing on this website is an offer, invitation or solicitation to buy, sell, invest in or hold any land, share, interest or security, or to book any stay. Founding places are discussed only in a personal conversation and, where it proceeds, set out in a written information memorandum and signed agreements. Those documents, not this website, govern any arrangement. Please read them carefully and take your own legal, tax and financial advice before deciding anything.

We make no promise or forecast of financial return, appreciation or income from any founding place. Descriptions of the land, the cottages, the nights available to members and the way Vanvaas is run are plans and intentions. They may change, and they may be subject to approvals and legal requirements.

Forest bathing is a wellbeing practice. Information on this site, including the research summaries on the Forest Bathing page, is general and educational. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. If you have a health concern, please speak to a qualified medical professional.

You agree to use this site lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• try to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
• introduce viruses or other harmful code;
• copy or scrape the site in bulk, or use it to send spam;
• submit information that is false, or that belongs to someone else without their permission.

When you send us your details, you confirm they are yours to give and that they are accurate. How we use them is explained in our Privacy policy. Sending an enquiry does not create any contract, reservation or right to a founding place.

Visits are by appointment only and at our invitation. The land is an unfenced Western Ghats forest beside the Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary, and wildlife, steep ground, weather and water are part of it. If you visit, you agree to follow the guidance of our team, to stay on marked paths, and to respect the forest, its animals and the people who look after it. We may ask anyone to leave who puts people or wildlife at risk.

The text, photographs, design, name and marks on this site belong to Vanvaas or are used with permission. You may view the site and share a link to it, but you may not copy, adapt or republish its content for commercial use without our written permission. Some photographs show wildlife and places typical of the Kodagu hills and are used to illustrate the setting.

This site may link to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

We take care to keep the site accurate, but we do not promise that it is complete, current or always available. We may change or remove content, or suspend the site, at any time.

To the extent the law allows, Vanvaas is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or its content, or from links to other sites. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute about the use of this website.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. By continuing to use the site you accept the updated terms.
